Designed for different age groups, de Stilte features a series of duets created following a series of workshops by Jack Timmermans, Gertien Bergstra and Femke Somerwil. These are short dance duets that arise from the dialogue between the two performers with the audience sitting around them on three sides. Each piece can be seen a second time during a subsequent workshop.
De Stilte is a professional dance company in the southern region of the Netherlands that focuses entirely on developing productions and performances for children, aimed at both audiences and schools. Education is a fundamental part of the company’s activities. Since its founding in 1994, it has expanded to become the most popular youth theater producing company in the Netherlands.
