Can a teenager change the world? Storia di un No (Story of a No) is about this.
It tells the story of Martina, a 14-year-old girl, of a carnivorous plant called Yvonne and of a pair of white caps. Martina doesn’t have designer clothes, she doesn’t have a scooter, and she doesn’t have a mom. She has an attentive father who works from home, loves Jane Austen and cooks lasagna whenever there is something important to celebrate. Then there is Alessandro, who wears branded sweatshirts, a tuft he spends twenty minutes each morning to comb, and who falls in love with Martina on the spot. Storia di un no is the story of an encounter, of a first kiss that is not as it was dreamed but that is still beautiful, of families that are not as we would like them… It is Martina’s story, who chooses to think herself as a whole, so that she can say “enough”, creating a chain reaction that can change things.
